Business skills for Designers - Setting up a design practice 1 day workshop

As many employed designers have aspirations to set up their own business, KLC Design School has developed three sequential one-day workshops, which can be taken individually or together, to assist those designers who wish to do so.

Setting up a design practice is an intensive one-day course, that is specially designed to enable delegates to understand the research and organisation required to set up a design practice, as well as the professionals and authorities who will assist in this field.

In this business skills for designers course you will learn how contacting organisations and seeking professional advice will ensure that a start-up business, either interior or garden, is given the fundamental building blocks from inception. Additionally, you will discover how having a realistic, working business plan is also essential when you are considering forming a new business.

This course is suitable for those who have been employed as a designer in the industry and who wish to set up and run their own professional interior or garden design studio. Suitable for both interior and garden design students.
