This course is aimed at people that have the responsibility for ensuring waste management is dealt with in a legally proper manner as well as people who are seeking to improve their understanding of the legislation in place on waste.

This course is also useful for people who are trying to improve their company waste management and people who are trying to establish waste minimisation initiatives, perhaps in companies with ISO 14001 who are intending to focus on waste minimisation as part of their continual improvement programme.

This course covers the following areas:

• Waste definitions and types
• Waste reduction, re-use and recycling
• Waste categorisation and streaming
• Waste disposal routes and records
• Waste legislation and regulation
• Storage and environmental aspects of waste
• Practical waste management including Duty of Care and Enforcement
