Master in Energy and Green Architecture MEGAs target group is architects, engineers and constructors, as well as other professions with at least 2 years of professional experience.

The master education, MEGA, takes place at Aarhus School of Architecture in Aarhus, Denmark, as well as at THUPDI, Beijing, China.

MEGA is based on education sessions, split in 4 modules, and the teachers attending are experts within the actual module themes. The MEGA master counts for 60 ECTS points, which equals 1 year of full time studying or 1/2 year of studying half time.

During the first semester there is one session in Denmark, Aarhus and one session in China, Beijing.

Included in the education sessions in Aarhus is a study trip to Austria and Germany, and included in the education session in Beijing is a study tour round of Beijing.

The second semester consists of literature study and exercise on innovation, and two virtual innovation studies — in city scale and in architectural scale, respectively.

Third semester is focused on implementation and includes a two week workshop in Beijing in cooperation with Chinese and Danish companies.

Apart from the education sessions, MEGA is based on e-learning, group work via Internet (Skype), literature study and exercise.

The cost of the Master in Energy and Green Architecture is: 25.000 EURO.

This sum total includes education and education materials, food during courses, two travels (Beijing-Aarhus/ Aarhus-Beijing) including flight and hotel with breakfast, and one study trip to Austria and Germany including transportation and hotel with breakfast.

The mission of the school is:

• To offer academic, profession-oriented bachelor- and graduate educations at the highest level within the field of architecture, plus PhD-education within architectural fields.
• To offer profession-oriented supplementary and further education within architectural fields up to and including master level.
• To perform research and artistic development work at the highest level directed at continuously qualifying the education, the practice of the profession, and the inter-disciplinary integration of architecture.

The Aarhus School of Architecture (Denmark) has around 900 students and around 200 employees. The school has an annual budget of EUR 14 mil.

The members of the Architecture school's academic staff are attached to five specialized architectural and design departments:

• Department of Architecture and Aesthetics
• Department of Landscape and Urbanism
• Department of Architectural Heritage
• Department of Design
• Department of Architectural Design

The five departments form the framework of the research- and development efforts, plus plan and provide the teaching and instruction of the students.
