This one-day Personal Development training course is designed to help delegates gain an understanding of the ways in which they can achieve higher level of assertiveness and effectiveness. This course aims to to enable delegates to achieve the following:

• Increase personal effectiveness through the use of appropriate verbal and non-verbal techniques.

  

• Gain greater awareness of the effect of your behaviour on other people.
• Increase a range of options for dealing with othe rs in a variety of situations.
• Explore different behaviours and their effects on the workplace.
• Learn to recognise assertive behaviour and its positive impact in the workplace.
• Learn how to manage difficult people and situations. 

This course is designed for anyone whose success at work depends on building constructive relationships with their colleagues, customers and clients.

This Assertiveness and Personal Development one-day training course covers the following areas:

• Reasons why problems occur within the workplace
• Power and control - What control allows you to do. Types of power. Using power effectively.
• Types of behaviour investigated - non assertive - aggressive - manipulative - assertive
• The benefits of behaving assertively. Types of assertion
• Skills for keeping your cool, communicating and solving problems
• Planning for progress

The course leader for this training course has a wealth of training experience in customer service, management and leadership and runs workshops in a dynamic, participative style.  Delegates will be able to acquire practical skills to enhance their workplace performance.

This course runs over 2 days from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
