Postgraduate Certificate in the Psychology of Management

Psychological understanding equips managers with the means of developing themselves and better enables them to handle the challenges created by change.Indeed greater understanding of ourselves and others at work is key to the efficiency and effectiveness of organisations and their people.

The Postgraduate Certificate in the Psychology of Management aims to advance the better management of people in the workplace through critical understanding, reflection and the application of the psychological principles, models, approaches and perspectives.

The Certificate is relevant to all managers who have line responsibility, as well as HR specialists and consultants who advise line managers on effective management practice.

It takes twelve months to complete the 40 CATS points route.  To access the Certificate, you must be graduate level or the equivalent thereof.

  • The Psychology of Organisational Culture and Climate
  • The Psychology of Change

  • The Psychology of Talent Management

To achieve 40 CATS points at postgraduate level you will need to successfully complete the written assignments.

4) What are CATS points?

The Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme, or CATS, is a system of credit transfer recognised by many higher education institutions nationwide. Participating institutions are able to measure their awards in terms of the amount of credit, or CATS points, required to pass.

5) How long does it take?

It takes one year to complete the 40 CATS points route.

6) What are the entry requirements?

All learners must be graduates or the equivalent thereof to gain access to this Postgraduate Certificate.

7) Who is the Certificate awarded by?

The Certificate is accredited by the Professional Development Foundation and Middlesex University as 40 CATS points at postgraduate level. These credits can be used towards a further relevant qualification. This Certificate does not lead to CIPD membership.
