The primary outcome of the Level 4 Diploma in Salon Management is to prepare you to enter the hair and beauty sector as a salon manager.

This qualification will allow you to develop both management and technical skills required for the role of hair and beauty salon manager.

This qualification is suitable if you have no prior or informal experience in a managerial role within a salon, as it covers the full breadth of units you would need to successfully carry out the role of a salon manager. This qualification will allow you to develop both management and technical skills required for the role of hair and beauty salon manager.

The Level 4 Diploma in Salon Management is recognised by industry as the qualification needed for those who wish to become in employed as a salon manager in the hair or beauty sector.

Suitability - Who should attend?

Entry Requirements:

Must be 19 or over, and must have a hair or beauty qualification at level 3.

Who it's for:

This qualification is suitable for aspiring or current leaders and managers who have no formal experience in a managerial role looking to develop their skills and knowledge to take the next step in their career.

For those who are hairdressers, barbers, beauty therapists and nail technicians.

Training Course Content

You will need to cover a minimum of five components and earn a minimum of 49 credits:

  • Management of health, safety and security in the salon.
  • Quality management of client care in the hair and beauty sector.
  • Sales management in the hair and beauty sector.
  • Public Relations (PR) in the hair and beauty sector.
  • Salon management.
  • Relevant Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19).

From the optional units, you’ll need to cover a minimum of one component and earn a minimum of 10 credits.
