Course description

This live and interactive online course (split into 2 sessions) will provide a highly practical and commercially-focused introduction to the private equity and venture capital industry. You will learn everything you need to get up to speed with the terminology and processes of these transactions.


The virtual classroom session is presented by Keith Arundale, an international trainer and consultant in private equity and venture capital. In it, you will learn: how private equity funds are structured; the key differences between management buyout and venture capital transactions; evaluating deals; and how value is created with these investments.


The session also covers: current trends; the fundraising process; terms and conditions of funds; the use of debt in a management buyout; structuring a venture capital deal; negotiating a deal; and trade sales, IPOs and other exit routes.
