Training Course Content

Introduction

You may be asked by a client or a colleague to create or review cyberlaw procedures and policies as part of a compliance review or audit.

The organisation may want to have this review or audit conducted because either:

  • Your client is concerned about being the victim of a cyberattack and hence its outlook is that prevention is better than cure; or
  • May want to have this review or audit conducted because it has already been the subject of a cyberattack and now wants to shore up its defences so that it does not fall victim to a cyberattack again.

This virtual classroom session will help you to understand cyberattacks and the consequences of a cyberattack better. This is facilitated by exploring real life cases studies and also UK and International case law regarding cyberattacks.

The session will help you to ensure that anyone that you are advising is better prepared and less likely to fall victim to a cyberattack or, if there is a cyberattack, then the person you are advising will be much better placed to cope with that cyberattack.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive session will cover the following:

  • What are the typical myths about a cyberattack?
  • What are typical and key circumstances surrounding a cyberattack?
  • What is the typical course of events?
  • What do organisations typically do which is good and bad prior to, during and after a cyberattack?
  • What cases have there been on cyberattacks and what were the key learning points?
  • Who should conduct the cyberattack analysis and how often should these activities be conducted?
  • How much can preparing for cyberattacks typically save an organisation in terms of time, effort and cost?
