This live session will consider the law around fostering, analyse the role of fostering panels and the interplay between public and private law orders.
The session is aimed at local authority and private practice child care lawyers, and will cover many of the key topics, including the important differences in the types of fostering, and where to find the law and facts you need. You will learn when and how parental responsibility can be delegated, and situations where only a care order will do.
The role of Special Guardianship Orders will be explored, along with how to deal with issues of jurisdiction. Common pitfalls such as approval, allegations and 26 weeks will also be discussed in detail.
