The course content is liable to change if there are any important new developments, but presenter Stephen Desmond is likely to provide an update on SDLT, and will cover the RICS professional standard on Japanese knotweed, an update on Planning and Building Regulations, shared ownership leases, leasehold reform, and recent cases on practical aspects of conveyancing.

- SDLT update, including non-residential purchases, multiple dwelling relief claims
- Case in which solicitor’s AML checks were wholly inadequate
- The RICS professional standard on Japanese knotweed
- Planning and building regulations update, e.g. enforcement, article 4 directions, s.106 obligations, permitted development rights
- Shared ownership leases: recent guidance, rent reviews
- Leasehold: reform, fire safety, EWS1s, the latest version of the BSA Landlord Certificate, BSA design and construction rules
