Planning your Learning at Work Week

Stage one of planning Learning at Work Week in your workplace is deciding on a focus area and starting to brainstorm ideas for activities around this theme.

Stage two is identifying specific areas of learning that you can focus on, convincing management of the benefits of the week and finding out if you are being allocated a budget. Most companies spend around £100 on their activities, but there are many things you can organise for free.

Stage three is getting in touch with training providers that are willing to offer their services for Learning at Work Week and finding out what's available to you (often at no cost). This is where Findcourses.co.uk's match-making service can help you!

Stage four is registering your event on the Learning at Work Week website so others can be inspired and follow your progress - plus you'll be in with a chance of getting some PR on your day too - register your event here.

Stage five is have a great week! Don't forget to collect feedback from colleagues so you can be sure to organise a successful event the following year.

"Learning at Work Week is a great, low cost opportunity to engage and motivate people across the organisation, while driving learning and development. At WH Smith everyone gets involved including the Chairman and the Board."

Steve Clarke, Chief Executive, WH Smith
