I am looking for a course that will assist me in giving motivational talks, are there any courses in ireland or by distance learning that would help me in this, i would appreciate any help or advice. tina

There are a number of excellent courses in the "Motivation" catagory on findcourses.co.uk. Serene Communications are currently offering bespoke courses on motivation that you may find interesting. Alternatively you could look at some of the NLP distance learning courses available that covers motivation skills as part of a wider methodology that uses the power of persuasion and influence.
