RPL for CIMA Certificate - Forum

I have completed 306 credits towards a Diploma in Cost an Management Accounting. Wondering if you could confirm what modules I could get RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) recognition for towards the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting or higher.

Hi Marius,

thank you for your question.

The CIMA website has a qualifications search that could definitely be of use to you:
http://www.cimaglobal.com/Study-with-us/Exemptions/Exemption-search.
It lets you search by Institution and Country, and then brings up all of the courses for which you may get an exemption.

Bear in mind, however, that CIMA will not decide if you are eligible for an exemption until you register as a CIMA student. So another good idea may be to contact companies offering the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting /search/training-courses?q=CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting and ask for some additional details about how exemptions usually work and how likely you are to be successful.
It is sometimes the case that the training provider applies for the exemption on your behalf (provided you give them all of the necessary information/transcripts), so it would probably be useful to contact them directly.

Bear in mind that exemptions have an associated cost, too.

Best of luck and let us know how it goes!
