Defibralator training - Forum

I am looking for a training course prison officers to use a defibralator. Would I be able to have the course facilitated here at the prison and what would it cost?

Hi Dawn,

thanks for posting.

You can most certainly find First Aid training providers who deliver Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training on an in-house basis. That means that they can come to you and train as many staff as required, either as one group or in a number of smaller groups, depending on how many participants you have and whether they all require the same level of training.

I don't think that coming to the prison should be any problem - providers may have a certain geographical range that they operate in, but there shouldn't be any issue finding one in your area. British Red Cross First Aid Training, for example, operate all over the country and offer AED training in-house.

Hope this helps!
