I'm trying to learn a language in my spare time. Has anyone here ever had a really good language instructor that gave tips that helped you? Thanks! Charlotte

Hmmm...good question! My French teacher always suggested I memorise vocab in lists...and my Turkish instructor who was really good suggested that those of us who were super shy with the language make an effort to think more in the language. In your head, think of what you're gonna talk to your boss about later or how you'll explain something funny that happened to you on the subway. I guess it depends on what skill you're trying to work on.

How are you studying now?

I have a grammar book I'm working through and I'm trying to read kids books.

I'm sort of trying to go it alone without a course because I'm so busy.

Hey Charlotte,

I know you said you were busy, but if you would ever like a flexible language course, you can find one here: http://www.findcourses.co.uk/search/online-language-courses
