Where to start in leadership development? - Forum

well, we may be a bit biased but we think training in general is the way forward!
May I ask: have you just been promoted to a leadership position, or are you looking to develop your skills in order to be promoted to a leadership role?
There are so many courses out there that you can definitely find multiple options to suit you, it's just a matter of taking the time to read the descriptions, compare different programmes and settle on the one that you think will give you the best results. Perhaps the biggest choice you have to make is: do you want a short non-accredited course like a 2-day "First Time Leadership" programme? Or do you want to complete a full-fledged management qualification, like an ILM or CMI accredited Certificate?
While both will be helpful, a qualification is perhaps more well-known and can help you be more attractive to employers all over the world. So that can definitely be a good place to start.

Then the important thing is to continue applying what you learn on a daily basis, refining your skills and becoming a better and better leader.
