CIPS - the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply - offers 5 different certifications for procurement professionals (alongside a range of other short courses focusing on specific areas of purchasing and supply).
They are the following:
- Certificate in procurement and supply operations - ideal for those starting their career in a procurement and/or supply chain role.
- Advanced certificate in procurement and supply operations - ideal for those in an operational role needing the capability to carry out procurement and supply tasks.
- Diploma in procurement and supply - ideal for those moving into a junior or middle management procurement role.
- Advanced diploma in procurement and supply - ideal for senior buyers, contract and supply chain managers.
- Professional diploma in procurement and supply - ideal for senior procurement professionals and heads of department.
