The Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment

IEMA, the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, is an established international cooperation between individual actors and organisations from 83 different countries, dedicated to improving the best practice in environment protection and risk-aware management practices.

IEMA aligns its training standards to the European Union's Eco Management and Audit Scheme, EMAS, the official environmental protection regulation for the EU member states. IEMA also offers the Acorn training scheme, a branch of the EU environmental standard recommended to governmental bodies.

IEMA training courses and environmental protection

A sustainable business vision typically encompasses an in-depth look at the sustainability requirements in terms of environmental protection, as well as their alignment with the customers' and producers' expectations. All industry sectors are affected by environmental changes and need to adjust their vision and standards to the demands of a quality-oriented and risk aware market.

IEMA training courses and quality assurance

The training scheme in quality assurance and environmental protection is subject to permanent improvement measures, in line with the international institutions' directives and policies of best practice and responsible management.

Internal auditors, lead auditors and chief auditing executives dedicate their experience to improving the best practice and the risk aware management in all industry sectors. Performing quality assurance tasks means having a long-term perspective over the business environment and all industry sector subject to environmental change. Awareness of environmental changes at the population level is adjusted in professional settings and public campaigning for sustainable green development.

IEMA courses are available for those starting out in the industry as well as for the professional looking to stay abreast of the latest developments.
