Train the Trainer Courses

You will typically need relevant industry experience and a recognised training qualification. Examples include CIPD Level 3 or 5, ILM Level 3 or 5, or a PTLLS or DTLLS qualification. Some employers may also require a degree or equivalent qualification.

You will typically need experience and expertise in your field, as well as strong communication and presentation skills. You can develop your skills by attending relevant training courses, gaining qualifications, and seeking feedback from colleagues and managers. 

Certifications that can enhance a trainer's credibility and demonstrate their competence include the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Trainer Accreditation, the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Trainer Development Programme, and the Training Foundation's TAP Certificate in Training Delivery Skills.

Generally, there are no formal prerequisites or qualifications required to enrol in a Train the Trainer course. However, having some experience in your field or as a trainer can be beneficial. The course will typically provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to design, deliver and evaluate effective training programs.
