What is considered an accredited certification?

Accredited certifications help professionals educate themselves further in case they wish to change careers or upskill.

Accredited certifications are considered to be any certifications or qualifications issued by an Awarding Body. In the UK this could be an accredited Certificate of Achievement, an Ofqual Regulated Qualification, or an industry-specific program that offers certification.

Qualification levels can be: Award, Certificate or Diploma and they correspond to a certain amount of guided learning hours or credit value.

  • Award: Credit values of 1 to 12
  • Certificate: Credit values of 13 and 36
  • Diploma: Credit values of 37 credits or more
