Introduction to Plumbing

This short intensive course is ideal for those of you who want some basic introductory plumbing skills. Those who complete the course will be provided with an Able Skills certificate, assured by City & Guilds. It is ideal for individuals who want to gain an insight into plumbing, maybe with a view to progressing further and achieving qualifications.

This 5 day plumbing course has been recognised by City & Guilds as a comprehensive introduction to plumbing so upon successful completion of this courseyou will receive an Able Skills certificate assured by City & Guildsto confirm the skills that you will have learned.

During this 5 day domestic plumbing course you will learn:

• Plumbing systems and fittings
• Soldering techniques
• Jointing, bending and pressure testing copper tube
• Dealing with valves, taps, cisterns
• Plumbing pipework

This course is entirely hands on and is ideal for anyone looking to learn basic domestic plumbing but additionally can act as a great taster course for anyone who is considering plumbing qualifications and a career as a Plumber. The course will cover all of the obvious issues that can arise within a domestic property in an attempt to teach you how to deal with certain things but more importantly, will provide guidance on when/if you really do need to call out a Plumber.

All of the tools and materials that this course requires will be supplied for you however it is essential that you have protective footwear (steel toe-cap boots) suitable casual clothing is recommended as this course can get a little messy.

All of our courses take place at our dedicated training centre in Dartford, Kent. The centre is easily accessible by road, being just 10 minutes from junction 1a on the M25. We are only a short walk from Dartford train station which is served by frequent trains taking 35 minutes from central London. For anyone travelling from further away, we have our own accommodation available at only £25 per night.

The cost for this certificated Introduction to Plumbing course is £475.00 including VAT. A £150.00 deposit will secure a booking and the balance can be paid on the start date.
