The NGC1 Unit is the core module of several NEBOSH Certificates as it provides essential training in areas such as risk assessment and health and safety auditing practices. The NGC1 unit has been designed to not only give you a well-rounded knowledge of health and safety, but to also provide a foundation platform for continuing into more NEBOSH units and specialised training areas. NGC1 unit provides essential elements that cover health and safety in the workplace.

Suitability - Who should attend?
For some, the National General Certificate is a crucial first step towards establishing a lifelong professional career in occupational health and safety. Many who take their National General Certificate progress on to one of our Diploma level qualifications. However, around three quarters of people who hold a National General Certificate are employed in roles whose primary function is not health and safety.
