Course description
Through this course you will develop excellent practical skills in exercise, leisure activities and fitness testing as well as becoming an approved emergency first aider.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above including English Language and Maths, or a Level 1 Foundation Pathway including Functional Skills Maths and English at Level 1.
Training Course Content
You will learn a range of units that cover:
- how to support clients who take part in exercise and physical activity
- health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment
- principles of exercise, fitness and health
- anatomy and physiology for exercise
You will competently be able to assess clients, devise a personalised training programme and deliver a training session confidently.
Course delivery details
The course involves a mixture of theoretical and practically based work.
Assessment is through a mixture of practical assessments, portfolio evidence and short answer examinations.
