Foundation Health and Childcare Pathway (Reading)
You will be introduced to the basics of the health industry. You will also gain the personal skills you need for employment.

The only entry requirement is that you have a successful interview with a member of the course team in order to ensure that we can fully meet your needs We are looking for young people with an enthusiasm to learn and a desire to make progress. We want applicants to actively take part in keep warm activities set by teachers before starting in September
Training Course Content
What you'll learn
You will learn in a supported environment at a pace that suits you.
This course will give you an introduction to health and social care and time to think about your future career. We arrange for support from our college careers advisers who are there to help you choose your next step.
You will gain a Vocational Certificate in Learning, Employability and Progression on completion of your studies.
When you complete the course, you could move on to a full-time Level 2 course, an apprenticeship or employment.
Continuing Studies
Upon completion of the course, you can progress to a higher-level health and social care study programme at college, or onto an apprenticeship. We can give you advice and information to help you plan your next step, whether you would like to study another course in the college or somewhere else, or are looking to enter employment.
We will provide you with the opportunity to develop vital employability and independence skills through our learning companies. Our partnerships with external organisations and employers are central to giving you the tools you need to have a successful future.
