NCFE Interpersonal Counselling Skills Level 1 Award
For anyone interested in counselling or who want to use counselling skills in their work. No experience in counselling needed.

Suitability - Who should attend?
You must begin your counselling journey at Level 1, which alongside the other courses, are validated through NCFE, under QCA Licence.
Candidates are required to pass an interview and complete an English assessment to inform the college of any additional support that may be needed.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
Successful completion of the course forms a sound base from which to pursue counselling skills training at Level 2.
Course delivery details
Professional teachers will guide you in your learning through a range of methods, such as:
- mini lectures
- skills training
- discussion and personal reflection
- experiential activities in varying group sizes
- weekly assignment, about 3–5 hours per week
