Suitability - Who should attend?
No previous experience of working in clay is necessary. Basic materials will be provided.
These workshops are also great if you are thinking of, or are taking, GCSE Art and want to expand your artistic skills and knowledge of materials.
It could get messy… so we suggest that you do not wear your best clothes! However, we do provide aprons.
Training Course Content
In a small class of up to five young people, you will learn how to wedge, knead, centre, and throw cylinder forms and more complicated shapes, with step-by-step instruction and demonstration.
Course delivery details
During the two classes, you will work on a potter’s wheel and learn all the different techniques used to make a wheel thrown ceramic piece.
