Course description
About the course
Explore how to frame clothing memorabilia such as sports jerseys. It is similar to 3D box framing, but more specialized. You will leave the course with a framed sports jersey that would cost in the region of £185 - £220 to frame if completed by a high street framer.
What will the course cover?

- Designing and making a support insert.
- Sewing in the supported item.
- Assembling the whole, framed object.
- Using appropriate fixings for hanging this type of frame.

What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring a packed lunch
The venue is located outside of the town centre and access to food vendors is limited. To keep the course running on time for all students, we request that students bring a packed lunch with them. We will provide all teas & coffees.
Something to Frame:
For this special session, you should bring along a sports jersey or similar item of clothing to frame. Please note that we will be folding between 25% & 40% of the shirt under the mount, so signatures below that fold point may be lost from view (height from collar to fold 460 mm).
Suitable clothing for a workshop environment:
- No open toe shoes or sandals
- No long floaty sleeves or garments which could get caught on things
- Do not wear anything of value as we are working with glues and paints etc.
- Do wear comfortable footwear as we are standing for most of the day.
We provide all tools & materials for framing on the day.
