Overview
This one-day course covers key provisions of the Companies Act 2006 and the Small Business Enterprise and Employment Act 2015.
It is highly practical to support non-specialist practitioners, and is a great refresher for those who need to update their skills.

- Company directors’ roles and responsibilities - an understanding of the key issues
- How companies are run - advising on meetings, resolutions, directors’ conflicts
- Shareholder rights - an understanding of directors' and companies' potential liabilities

- Advise on incorporation as a company or as a limited liability partnership
- Understand the key issues surrounding rights, duties and liabilities of directors
- Advise on shareholder rights and remedies
- Identify the role of the company secretary
- Manage the issuing of shares and share capital generally
- Understand the liabilities of directors to insolvent companies
PSC Elective
This course may be taken as a PSC elective, although it may also be attended by non-trainees.
