Course description

Overview

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary in order to become an effective practitioner in this area. You will be guided by an experienced tutor, with a detailed understanding of the relevant practices and procedure. The course will equip you with the appropriate knowledge of law and practice, so as to become more confident with public law proceedings.


Who is this for?

This course will benefit trainee solicitors, paralegals, solicitors and Chartered Legal Executives, either practising in this field, or needing to refresh your knowledge. Support staff assisting preparing cases/undertaking casework, social workers and case workers will also find this to be beneficial. Also suitable for local authority social workers and social work practitioners.

The course will deliver the knowledge you need of the law, practice and procedure. There will also be opportunities to discuss with and ask questions of our highly experienced presenter.

The course will cover developments in case law and practice, with consideration of significant cases such as Re B- S (Children) (Adoption: Application of Threshold Criteria) 2013, and Re C (A Child) (Interim Separation) 2019 EWCA Civ 1998
