This qualification is aimed at practising or aspiring managers and leaders who are typically accountable to a senior manager or business owner. It is aimed at enabling practising or aspiring managers to understand the business case for equality, diversity and inclusion and the role of managers in creating inclusive cultures.
Internationally accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), this course requires participants to complete at least 41 TUT. This equates to 1 unit.
The Award is part of the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and sets participants up for a higher level certification such as the Level 5 Certificate in Management & Leadership, followed by the Diploma.
Course assessment involves completion of an assignment for the unit. No exam is included.

This Level 5 Award in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is suitable for managers who are practising or aspiring managers and leaders who are typically accountable to a senior manager or business owner
- Be 19 years of age and over
- Have previous work experience as a team leader or similar job role.

After completing this online distance learning course, successful candidates will be awarded the Level 5 Award in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the UK Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF).
Training Course Content
This Level 5 Award in Managing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Online Distance Learning Course covers one unit entitled Managing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, which gives participants the skills to:
1. Understand legal and organisational approaches to equality, diversity and inclusion
2. Understand the role and responsibilities of a manager in relation to equality, diversity and inclusion
3. Know how to develop and implement plans which support equality, diversity and inclusion within an organisation
4. Know how to monitor and report on equality, diversity and inclusion
The cost of this Level 5 Award in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Online Distance Learning Course is £300, plus a £132 Chartered Management Institute Registration Fee.

Upon successful completion of the qualification, learners are able to progress to further learning within CMI’s suite of qualifications, including using this unit to progress on to the CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership or CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership. Learners who complete Unit 506 in this qualification will be able to transfer this unit to these qualifications.
Learners may also wish to further their ongoing personal and professional development by accessing other CMI qualifications, such as the CMI Level 6 Qualifications in Management and Leadership with the goal of becoming a Chartered Manager.
