Course description
Gas Safety Regulations
Gas is used commonly for heating and cooking in buildings; however, it presents a number of hazards including fires, explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning. For these reasons, a framework of legislation is in place to protect people in and around buildings. These affect how buildings are designed, constructed, managed and maintained. This webinar presents the main pieces of legislation affecting gas safety in buildings in England – the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 and Part J of the Building Regulations. Key guidance documents and sources of further information are discussed.
