Course description
The programme consists of
&bull Preparing to work within an ethical framework and its purpose and relevance to counselling practice.
&bull Understanding difference and diversity issues.
&bull Using counselling theory to develop self-awareness in counselling practice
&bull Understanding theories of counselling and mental health
&bull Using feedback, reflection and supervision to support counselling studies
As part of this qualification you can volunteer to work for an agency in a non-counselling capacity. Working on an agency-based project is also an effective way of securing a work placement for further counselling experience.
NB
&bull As part of this course, you are required to undertake at least 10 hours of personal therapy. This will be at your own expense.
&bull The course will run subject to numbers applying and being accepted for a Sept start
Funding will be double checked and confrimed upon enrolment along with any questions you may have.
