This course is designed to give you a thorough introduction to Creative Media and the broad range of pathways it embraces separating into two pathways that are Broadcast Media (TV, Radio and Interactive Media) and Film (Editing, Sound for film and promotion)
Year One:

Through a mixture of practical lessons and vocational projects, learners will have the opportunity to develop theoretical and technical skills in various areas including
The Study Programme is taught and delivered as project-based assignments, covering the fundamentals of the creative media application of contemporary journalistic skills. It will also help you get together a great portfolio of work, in preparation for University, apprenticeship and job applications.
Projects you will complete are set in creative industry contexts and include live assignments, where you have the opportunity to develop stories and campaigns for real life partners and clients. You will also be given the opportunity to collaborate with other creative media practitioners within the CRC community and the wider creative media industries.
This course is designed to give you a thorough introduction to Creative Media, exploring how it influences the world we live in. From television to cinema, radio to podcast, social media and everything in between, this course will equip you with the necessary skills to succeed in the ever-changing media industry
You will gain a broad knowledge of skills needed to work in traditional and online media. You will discover what makes a story, develop skills in digital content, television, radio and interactive media, all while practicing in our TV and radio studios.
Year Two:
UCAS Points – Pass (72) Merit (120) Distinction (168
Successful completion of the Year One qualification can lead to entry for the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma Year 2. Through one-to one tutorials, workshops, and Independent Learning, learners will be expected to research, plan and produce projects tailored to their chosen pathway, which will lead to the end-of-year FMP.

Suitability - Who should attend?
A range of methods, which may include projects, assignments, case studies, course work, self-assessment, feedback from clients and panel reviews, continually assesses course work. Grades from Pass, Merit, Distinction may be awarded to course work.
The Study Programmes are over 5 days each week.
There is regular one to one tutorial provision.

Continuing Studies
• BA/BSc/FdA at a Higher Education institution
• Apprenticeships within the wider commercial/creative based industries and supported through Cambridge Regional College
• Employment e.g. production assistant, runner, junior researcher, broadcast assistant, broadcast journalist
