Professional Development 1-day Programme for Non-Executive Directors at Cass Business School
A Non-Executive Director (NED) role is a prestigious and wide-ranging position, encompassing everything from the membership and chairing of committees, to the overall chairmanship of a company. Despite this, company induction programmes for NEDs tend to be organisation-specific and may not cover the wider issues of board life.
This executive level training programme is the result of a collaboration between Cass Business School and PwC, whose faculties have teamed up to fill these knowledge gaps with a unique professional development master class for aspiring NEDs.
This one-day professional masterclass addresses the wider behavioural and practical implications of the NED role, in line with the UK Corporate Governance Code. The training programme is designed to help delegates:
- Unravel and understand the challenges, goals and responsibilities of being on a successful Board
- Plan and prepare for their first move into the Board arena and gain a real sense of what is expected
- Demystify many of the responsibilities and complexities faced by NEDs and equip them with the knowledge and insights needed to obtain a first Board position.
Suitability - Who should attend?
This course is for individuals who are aspiring to become NEDs on FTSE 350 (or equivalent) company boards. Individuals in the broader talent development pool who would benefit from having a window on board.
The cost of this training course is £975 (no VAT will be charged), which includes all meals and refreshments and course materials. Delegates will need to organise their own accommodation. There are preferential rates available at nearby hotels.
