Apprenticeships are all over the news at the moment and as one of London’s biggest apprentice training providers, the College of North West London, is at the forefront of this new wave of education. But it’s not just apprenticeships they offer; they specialise in a wide range of vocational courses and are well equipped with specialist facilities to help students develop skills and build their careers. Our campuses in London
Our campuses in Wembley and Willesden are well located and popular with students from a wide area. The Wembley Campus is a one-minute walk from Wembley Park tube station (Zone 4) with views of Wembley Stadium. Also within a short walk are Wembley Arena and the London Designer Outlet, one of London’s newest and best shopping and leisure facilities, offering big-name shops, restaurants and bars, seasonal attractions such as ice skating, and a cinema.
The Willesden Campus is a five-minute walk from Dollis Hill station (Jubilee Line Zone 3).
The College also runs a Construction Skills Centre at King's Cross, in the neighbouring borough of Camden.
Facilities
Our campuses provide a welcoming environment for students, with a high standard of facilities across all our vocational subjects. Our construction and engineering provision offers highly specialised resources, with students travelling from a wide area to take advantage of our learning opportunities in refrigeration, electronics, plumbing and auto engineering for example.
Both campuses also provide learning centres with open access computers, books, journals and access to specialist online resources. There is a Starbucks café at each campus, as well as refectories offering hot and cold food.
Types of Courses Offered
CNWL run courses focused on careers and the skills you need to succeed. Our offer is based on around 20 vocational areas, reflecting important sectors of the London economy. These include construction and trades, care, business and accounting, computing, science, engineering, salon services, media and engineering.
In construction, we are one of the biggest training providers in the region, with unrivalled facilities for training in specialisms such as welding, refrigeration, plumbing and mechanical engineering. We support over 1000 apprentices per year, and our training is highly regarded by employers across a wide area.
