Pathways to Sports and Nutrition - Entry Level: The Sports and Nutrition Course is designed to develop the knowledge skills and attitudes in preparation for paid employment within Sport & Service Industries. Students will have an opportunity to explore and participate in competitive sports as well as develop greater knowledge and understanding of Nutrition. The course aims to assist students to develop the essential skills experience and confidence required to work or support transition to mainstream as appropriate. The course offers the opportunity to undertake work experience placement within Sports and Service Industry. Your academic studies will include Maths English and ICT which will be delivered according to learners assessed levels and abilities. The OCNLR Level 1 Award in Skills for Professions in Sport is a qualification for learners wishing to explore vocational study alongside learning skills. You will develop your work skills by being offering the opportunity to undertake work experience placement. This one year course will also offer essential study skills and knowledge to students who aspire to further their education on a mainstream Sports and Public Service pathway. Your academic studies will include Maths and English with the aim of developing individual standards towards national Functional Skills qualifications. Attending the Sports and Nutrition course will give you the chance to access the local and wider community develop your social skills promote healthy eating boost self- confidence and provide the opportunity to gain relevant qualifications.

Suitability - Who should attend?

Initial interview. Minimum of an Entry 3 qualification. Work as part of a team and support others. Undertake specified work experience placement within the Sports and Service industry.
