This Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety course is a supervisory training programme designed to give participants a more in-depth practical understanding of the regular controls that should be applied in a food handling environment.
The 3-day training course covers the specific knowledge necessary for effective food safety supervision & management in the food business, including:
- legal requirements
- food preservation & temperature control
- equipment & workplace design
- cleaning, disinfection & waste disposal
- staff training & personal hygiene
- pest control
- food safety tools & procedures
The exam can be taken in Catering, Manufacturing or Retail.

Suitability - Who should attend?
This Level 3 Award in Food Safety course is suitable for supervisors, trainers, team leaders and other personnel with specific responsibility for managing day-to-day food handling activities in Catering, Manufacturing or Retail.

On completion of this course, candidates will receive a Level 3 Award in Food Safety from Highfield Qualifications.
