Level 2: Data Testing and Analysis
This online course provides an overview of the principles of data testing and analysis for energy management. On this course you will learn to define accuracy, precision and resolution of energy data, as well as they types of management information required in monitoring and targeting procedures. The course will also review how to undertake a degree-day regression analysis to account for weather variations in energy data, how to undertake a CUSUM analysis and identify the impact of energy improvements, as well as the common estimation techniques used by energy managers.
This course is self-paced and can be started at any time.

Suitability - Who should attend?
This course is recommended for those with 1-2 years' experience in energy management. Although there are no official prerequisites, it is recommended that you have at least A level maths or equivalent.

CPD hours: 10
Successful completion of this course results in the EI Level 2 Certificate in Data testing and analysis.
This course also forms one of the modules of the EI's longer Level 2: Energy Management Professional course and qualification.
