BA (Honours)/MArt The Art of Video Games (Integrated Masters)
Follow in the footsteps of our Escapees who are working at the likes of Rockstar Games and Ubisoft.
Don’t just play the game, create the game. Video games are evolving across all devices making it an exciting time to study and work in the industry. Escape Studios degree is perfect for those wanting to become a Games Artist, it will provide you with both the professional skills and knowledge that the industry is looking for or even to start your own studio.
Become a Games Artist from day one - working in industry-style studios using the latest tools and techniques and working as part of a team on high quality creative projects. You’ll have intensive, hands-on tutorials with industry-trained tutors, who alongside practising professionals will provide regular feedback on your work.
You'll graduate studio ready with a professional portfolio of work to show employers and a degree validated by the University of Kent.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Minimum requirements: You'd usually have GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent and have/or be predicted to pass 2 A Levels or equivalent.

Offers onto Escape Studios undergraduate courses are made following completion of a Creative Workshop. They take students who have the talent to succeed and they know the best way to judge this is by looking at your portfolio, not just a set of academic grades.
Once they've received your UCAS application you’ll be invited to submit a portfolio of your creative work . This will be reviewed by their expert tutors.
If no further information is needed from you, they'll send you an invitation to a Creative Workshop. Here you’ll take part in an interactive group task. Your performance at the Creative Workshop will determine whether you are offered a place.
English Language requirements
If your first language is not English you may need to complete an English language test, such as a Pearson English language test (PTE Academic) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test, to demonstrate you have the language skills needed to complete your degree. All courses are taught in English.
