Cyber security technologist - Level 4 - Apprenticeship Training
This apprenticeship training is designed for apprentices working with cyber threats and protection, and will focus on cyber security principles, techniques and law. Apprentices usually have A Levels (or equivalent) and functional Maths knowledge.
The apprenticeship normally takes two years to complete and is the equivalent to a certificate of higher education. Apprentices must achieve a Level 2 in English and Maths before taking their end-point assessment.
After completing the apprenticeship they will be eligible to apply for:
- Associate membership of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP)
- Associate membership of the British Computer Society (BCS)
- Entry onto the Register of IT Technicians at Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) Level 3 professional competence
