This three day course is an overview of the process of designing a database. We discuss the different types of database (tabular, multidimensional etc.), database design concepts, normalisation, relationships, performance, and end with an overview of some of the most frequently used objects in a database.
The primary audience for this course is people who are moving into a database role, or whose role has expanded to include database technologies.
This course provides an in-depth understanding of the design and structure of SQL databases and database objects. Delegates who are looking for a more practical course with a focus on searching and managing data in SQL databases are advised to look at our 'Querying SQL Databases using T-SQL' and 'Advanced Querying SQL Databases using T-SQL' or Microsoft official curriculum 'Querying Data with Transact-SQL' courses.
