The Pearson BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT is 180 credits and has 1080 guided learning hour (GLH) qualification it consists of three mandatory units plus optional units that provide for a combined total of 180 credits (where at least 135 credits must be at level 3 or above).

Who is this course for

The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Information Technology is intended as an Applied General qualification. It is designed to be studied over two years and is equivalent to three A Levels. It fully meets entry requirements in information technology or related study such as an HNC or HND in Computing or progress to a degree course in information technology and related areas such as: Digital Technology Solutions, IT Management for Business, Computer Networks Security or Business Computing and Entrepreneurship

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs grade 9-4 (grade A*- C) preferably including both English & maths or a relevant Level 2 qualification preferably with a distinction. If you do not have GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 (grade C) or above you will take a formal test in both subjects. ICT skills are essential and you will have an interview and assessment.
