Course content
You will learn the fundamental concepts of the psychodynamic model. As the Level 4 course follows the psychodynamic model we will be concentrating on learning about this model, both the theory and the practice. You will also learn more about the importance of research and working in an agency. You will learn about common mental health problems and their treatment. You will learn about the nature of assessment of clients and we will also look at other modalities, e.g. CBT and the Person Centred approach.
Who is this course for
This qualification is intended for those who want to take the next step in counselling training. The course builds upon the skills learnt on the Level 2 course and develops further the importance of using theory in counselling. You will be encouraged to develop further yourself self-awareness and your impact on other people.
Entry requirements
Successful completion of the Level 2 Counselling Course, be aged 19+,, attend an Open Day and successfully pass an interview. You will need to demonstrate a good command of the English language both written and spoken.
