UAL Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology (Film and Television)
The course runs over two academic years with a total of 13 units (8 units in Year 1 & 5 units in Year 2). Teaching and Learning will be carried out through a mixture of theory and practical assignments. Learners will undertake numerous small to big screen productions, develop personal, technical and employability skills and learn about the ins and outs of the TV and Film Industry. Projects include Music Videos, TV & Radio Dramas, Promotional Videos, Experimental Films, Documentaries and Short Film productions. Students will also learn about Audio & Interactive Media Productions & aid with Progression in this sector (either in education or industry). Students need to be prepared for at least 20 hours of study each college week, including homework, to meet all coursework deadlines.
Suitability - Who should attend?
5 x GCSEs grade 9-4 (grade A- C) including English & maths or a relevant Level 2 qualification at merit or above. Students who have 4 x GCSEs grade 9-4 (grade A- C) including English and maths should apply and will be interviewed.
Who is the course for?
Our well-established Media Production course is designed for media students who are serious about a future within the TV and Film industry, and want to learn the professional ways of thriving within the sector. Learners will undertake numerous productions, develop technical, personal and employability skills, and learn about the ins and outs of the TV and Film Industry. Our two-year course will keep you excited, challenged, and encourage you to produce thrilling moving image products!

Continuing Studies
Many of our alumni have set up and are managing their own successful video production companies both locally and internationally.
Students will have the opportunity to progress on to related Apprenticeship/Foundation/HND programmes, University BA (Hons) Degree/Courses, and Media-related employment.
