Cabin crew is often seen as exciting and glamorous but it has many important aspects to the roles and responsibilities. They are highly trained and the main point of contact for passengers whilst in the air. Their main concern is the safety and comfort of the passengers and the need to ensure that they provide a high level of customer service. This unit will give you the main knowledge related to the roles and responsibilities of cabin crew:

Know the roles and responsibilities of crew
Know aviation terminology used by cabin crew
Know the pre and post flight duties that cabin crew undertake in the crew room
Be able to take part in a pre-flight briefing
Understand the importance of maintaining industry standards

WorldHost: Principles of Customer Service

This is an industry wide recognised qualification that will enhance your skills and knowledge and enable you to deliver a high level of quality customer service. The following outcomes will be covered:

How to make an excellent first impression and make customers feel welcome
How to create a rapport with customers

How to empathise with customers

Study Methods : Working as Cabin Crew will require students to do some in-class and independent work to complete a range of activities to meet the criteria set. This will involve both theory and practical assessment.

WorldHost will be assessed during in-class activities and a final end of course assessment. Time-keeping and punctuality also forms part of the assessment and it is expected for students to pass that you are on time and attend these sessions. Failure to do this will result in you not gaining this qualification.
