APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) - Formerly known as introductory Certificate (IC)
This two-day training course in project management focusing on the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) is designed to give participants a solid introduction to the key issues in project management and to get them ready for the the one-hour multiple-choice examination held at the end of the course.
Class material includes a personal copy of the APM study guide to keep for future reference. After completing the two-day training course, participants will understand project management processes and know the PM terminology. Participants will also be ready to correctly assess project success criteria and benefits, while preparing the required project documentation.
Successful completion of the final examination will allow the participants to professionally perform tasks associated to project management. They will be presented with the APM Introductory Certificate in Project Management.
Suitability - Who should attend?
The APM Introductory Certificate in Project Management is a basic or entry level qualification and is particularly suitable for:
- Those who are new to project management who want to gain an understanding of the principles of project management as laid down in the Association for Project Management’s Body of Knowledge.
- Project team members with no project management training who would like to understand standard project management terminology and who wish to obtain the APM Introductory Certificate.
A primary focus of this intensive course is to prepare you to successfully pass the examination.

The APM is the professional qualification awarded by the Association for Project Management.
APMP is a knowledge-based qualification. Successful candidates are able to participate in projects from individual assignments through to large capital projects.
The course is fully accredited and approved by the APM, and Hemsley Fraser is an APM Accredited Training Provider.
