Course description
This will be a practical workshop where students will consider key features of creative writing – plot, dialogue and so on – but always with reference to writing for children. It will be a combination of writing opportunities, discussion and teacher-led information.
By the end of the workshop you will:
Understand key elements of fiction writing – such as plot, dialogue, speech tagging – in particular reference to writing for children.
Experience creative opportunities to develop ideas for stories.
