Course Aims

Who Should Attend?Managers and Supervisors in construction, utilities, telecommunications and petrochemical industries who are required to survey, plan and issue permits to work. This is a 1 day theory course accompanied by an optional 1 day practical unit on surveying tools as listed below. Unit 2 is highly recommended for those who have successfully completed this course. To provide delegates with the sufficient knowledge to plan and produce permits to work (excavate) and implement safe systems as outlined in HSG47.

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the course will be issued with a EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) card valid for 3 years. All cards display the card holder’s unique EUSR number, the reverse displays all registrations and their expiry dates. Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS hologram) affiliated cards enable access to construction sites for the purposes of utility connections and waste management and are issued to operatives who have passed a Utility SHEA scheme since 1 December 2008.
