Individual Working Alone (IWA) - Initial (including DCCR)

Course designed to train staff to work on or near the line on their own.

Course Aims

This course is designed to train persons who have been nominated by their line manager/sponsor to enable them to attain the Individual Working Alone (IWA) competence. The IWA competence is required to be held by anyone who is required to work on or near the line on their own.Who Should Attend? Anybody with a valid sponsor who has been nominated to attain the IWA competence.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, competencies will be uploaded to Sentinel.Sentinel smart cards are ordered directly from Sentinel at www.railsentinel.co.ukExpiry2 years – however, a workplace assessment is required within the first 4 months of holding the competency and another one between 9 and 15 months.
