Course designed as a refresher to train staff to correctly determine their roles and responsibilites when undertaking Points Operator duties.
Course Aims
This recertification course aims to instruct Participants on correctly determining their roles and responsibilities of undertaking Point Operator Duties. By the end of the course, Participants will be able to demonstrate their understanding and ability to manually operate power points motors in line with relevant rules and regulations. All applicants must hold a valid Sentinel Track Safety Card endorsed with either Individual working alone or COSS Competence. Who Should Attend This course aims to recertify Participants on correctly determining their roles and responsibilities of undertaking Point Operator Duties. By the end of the course, Participants will be able to demonstrate their understanding and ability to manually operate power points motors in line with relevant rules and regulations. All applicants must hold a valid Sentinel Track Safety Card endorsed with either Individual working alone or COSS Competence. Participants must be currently certified as a Point Operator or they must have Sentinel Smart Card with the Points Operator competence (or be within the 8 week grace period).
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course, competencies will be uploaded to Sentinel. Sentinel smart cards are ordered directly from Sentinel at www.railsentinel.co.uk
